Job Summary
We are hiring a dependable and motivated CNC and Machining Lead to join our client's team. This role offers long-term growth potential and consistent weekly hours.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate both vertical and horizontal lathes and mills
• Oversee second shift machining operations for 4–6 team members
• Perform setup for 5–7 low volume, high mix jobs daily (30 min avg per setup)
• Perform manual drilling, tapping, and general machining support
• Monitor long-running jobs and stage upcoming setups as needed
• Work primarily with 1/4” thick carbon and cold-rolled steel
• Maintain quality standards per ISO 9001:2015 and specified tolerances (±.01 to ±.039)
Machinery / Equipment Used
• Manual and CNC Lathes
• Manual and CNC Mills
• Calipers (millimeters), CMM instruments (a plus)
Required Qualifications
• Prior exposure to manual and CNC machining environments
• Comfortable supervising small teams (4–6)
• Able to perform frequent setups with high attention to detail
• Must not have experience limited to 5-Axis, medical, or aerospace sectors
• Willingness to train and work with various materials and setups
• Able to lift and stand for extended periods as needed
