Shift: 1st Shift; 6:30am – 2:30pm

Job Summary 

The Facilities Maintenance Technician must be fully capable of facilities maintenance and be skilled in related trades such as sheet metal work, welding, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic HVAC. This employee must be extremely versatile and capable of working with minimum supervision. In addition, he or she may lead other maintenance technicians to complete complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities 

• Read blueprints and plan projects to complete assigned tasks 
• Perform carpentry jobs using hand and power tools 
• Conduct masonry repairs, install/remove nonstructural walls 
• Build frameworks, install sub-flooring, and finished flooring 
• Install interior trim and hardware (e.g., kick plates, locks) 
• Perform metalwork using shear, brake press, rivet gun; basic welding 
• Paint machinery and facility surfaces per specifications 
• Install and repair plumbing (fixtures, pipes, leaks) 
• Perform HVAC maintenance (filters, ducts, blowers) 
• Troubleshoot and install electrical systems and components 
• Mix, pour, and remove concrete 
• Assist with training and development of junior technicians 
• Comply with LOTO and High Voltage safety protocols 
• Follow company safety policies, including LOTO and arc flash procedures

Required Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
• Technical training or experience in trades (carpentry, welding, plumbing) 
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions in English 
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills 
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights (25 ft), and perform active labor 
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required 
• Basic Microsoft computer skills 
• Must be able to work indoors, outdoors, and in variable temperatures
