Set Up Technician – Injection Molding (Direct Hire) – Buffalo Grove, IL


Pay: 24.00 – 38.00 per hour (+ 10 percent shift differential for nights)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Night Shift Preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Injection Molding Machines while ensuring product quality

  • Perform mold changeovers, color changes, and material lot tracking

  • Load validated master cycle parameters into molding machines at each startup

  • Align and operate robotic and automated systems

  • Conduct visual inspections and follow ISO, GMP, and safety protocols

  • Troubleshoot small to mid-sized process issues and escalate as needed

  • Perform preventative maintenance (TPM Level 1) on equipment

  • Complete all required documentation and quality checks

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S Standards

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for unsafe equipment

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior Injection Molding experience REQUIRED (Candidates without experience will not be considered)

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Basic math & computer skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand/walk for 90% of the shift

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
