Pay Rate: 17.00 – 25.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join a growing engineering-driven manufacturer known for precision systems and hand-built components. This full-time, contract (possibly direct hire) opportunity is located in a clean, climate-controlled Lockport facility and offers potential for direct hire based on performance. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a quality-first mindset, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with soldering and assembly of complex systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Solder SMT and through-hole components onto circuit boards

  • Assemble wire, cable, and harness systems

  • Inspect assemblies, chassis, and harnesses for defects

  • Cut wire, strip insulation, and prep kits for production

  • Read and follow schematics, work instructions, and engineering change orders

  • Perform standardized electro-mechanical assembly tasks

 

Machinery/Equipment Used

  • Soldering tools (fine-pitch SMT and through-hole)

  • Hand tools and small power tools

  • Magnification equipment for inspection

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (required); technical diploma or military training preferred

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in electro-mechanical assembly

  • Proficient in soldering fine-pitch components under magnification

  • Skilled in reading schematics and assembly documentation

  • High attention to detail and safety

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Strong verbal/written communication; team-oriented mindset
