Shift: 2-2-3 Schedule – 12-hour shifts
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Summary

Join a global leader in flexible packaging as an Extrusion Operator in a clean, safe, and climate-controlled facility in Mundelein. This is a full-time, direct hire role with benefits starting day one, quarterly bonus eligibility, and advancement opportunities. Responsible for operating and troubleshooting extrusion machines to ensure quality production output.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

  • Operate extrusion lines, including setup and die head changes

  • Monitor barrel augur, extruder, and forming/winding controls

  • Handle nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices

  • Ensure proper scrap recovery procedures

  • Inspect finished product and perform quality checks

  • Assist in maintenance and repair duties as needed

  • Maintain production records and documentation

  • Keep work area clean and equipment in working condition

 

Machinery/Equipment Used

  • Extrusion machines and die head equipment

  • Barrel augur systems

  • Forming/winding control systems

  • Rewind shafts and cutting tools

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience

  • Mechanical aptitude; ability to read a ruler

  • Strong communication and basic computer skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 12 hours

  • Alert, safety-conscious, and organized
