Job Summary
Join a global leader in flexible packaging as an Extrusion Operator in a clean, safe, and climate-controlled facility in Mundelein. This is a full-time, direct hire role with benefits starting day one, quarterly bonus eligibility, and advancement opportunities. Responsible for operating and troubleshooting extrusion machines to ensure quality production output.
Key Responsibilities

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Operate extrusion lines, including setup and die head changes

Monitor barrel augur, extruder, and forming/winding controls
-
Handle nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices
-
Ensure proper scrap recovery procedures
-
Inspect finished product and perform quality checks
-
Assist in maintenance and repair duties as needed

Maintain production records and documentation
-
Keep work area clean and equipment in working condition
Machinery/Equipment Used

Extrusion machines and die head equipment

Barrel augur systems

Forming/winding control systems

Rewind shafts and cutting tools
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
-
Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience

Mechanical aptitude; ability to read a ruler

Strong communication and basic computer skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 12 hours

Alert, safety-conscious, and organized
