Job Summary

A plastics manufacturer in Batavia is hiring a Maintenance Technician for their 3rd shift. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, quarterly bonus potential, and a clean, safety-focused environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair production equipment and systems

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

  • Perform complex repairs using tools and machinery

  • Read schematics, manuals, and technical documents

  • Communicate maintenance needs clearly and work collaboratively

  • Mentor junior maintenance staff as needed

  • Adhere to company safety and cleanliness standards

  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and repairs

 

Machinery/Equipment Used

  • Mechanical systems

  • Electrical systems

  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Microprocessor-controlled equipment

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Hands-on experience in at least two of: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems

  • Familiarity with microprocessor-controlled equipment

  • Injection or blow molding experience is a plus

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Dependable and self-driven
