Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday) – Full-Time
Compensation: $18.00/hr starting rate, $19.00/hr after 3 months, $20.00/hr after 6 months
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Technician Level 1 to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is a hands-on, entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in advanced manufacturing and CNC operations. You will assist with machine operations, support quality inspections, and perform rework and calibration tasks.
This position is contract-to-hire, with the potential for permanent employment after 6–9 months based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities

Assist engineers with machine setup, calibration, and testing

Perform rework and quality inspection of mechanical components

Support data collection and use basic tools to track production metrics

Follow work instructions and safety procedures accurately

Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality standards

Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications

Experience: 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical work (preferred but not required)

Education: High school diploma or GED required

Skills:

Ability to read and follow instructions

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Willingness to learn and work with machines and hand tools

Strong attention to detail and reliability
