Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday) – Full-Time
Compensation: $18.00/hr starting rate, $19.00/hr after 3 months, $20.00/hr after 6 months

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Technician Level 1 to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is a hands-on, entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in advanced manufacturing and CNC operations. You will assist with machine operations, support quality inspections, and perform rework and calibration tasks.

This position is contract-to-hire, with the potential for permanent employment after 6–9 months based on performance and business needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with machine setup, calibration, and testing

  • Perform rework and quality inspection of mechanical components

  • Support data collection and use basic tools to track production metrics

  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures accurately

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production and quality standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical work (preferred but not required)

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required

  • Skills:

    • Ability to read and follow instructions

    • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

    • Willingness to learn and work with machines and hand tools

    • Strong attention to detail and reliability
