Electro-Mechanical Machine Builder / Field Service Technician

Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (overtime as needed)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $27.00 – $32.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated first shift Machine Builder who is willing to travel (approx. 10–15%) as a Field Service Technician.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial machinery, maintenance, repair, and have good problem-solving skills. The candidate will be responsible for working in the Machine Department conducting mechanical and electrical assembly, assisting in making spare parts and could help customers over the phone with technical support. When traveling, the candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial machinery at customer sites.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Provide technical support to customers (on-site and remote)
• Assist with spare parts fabrication and machine builds
• Travel to customer sites (10–15%) for installation, service, and repair
• Collaborate with engineering on recurring issues and improvements
• Maintain tools, parts, and service inventory
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

 

Machinery / Equipment Used

• Industrial machinery and production equipment
• Electrical systems and components
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience building industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical AND electrical experience (both required)
• Electrical troubleshooting knowledge required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Field service experience (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to travel (10–15%, occasional overnight)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
